Ufology is filled with visual records, both in photos and videos — the overwhelming majority of which are merely misinterpretations, mistakes, hoaxes, or CGI.
It’s rare for someone in the world to claim they’ve managed to record the sound of a UFO. That’s because, in the vast majority of cases, reports of these objects are usually accompanied by the description “completely silent.” Although this isn’t a rule, it’s quite common for no sound to be perceived coming from UFOs.
The case I bring now was reported to NUFORC on July 30th of this year. Along with the witness’s report, a short audio clip was attached — nine seconds in length — featuring a curious and intriguing sound captured by the witness during the sighting.
But before we talk about that, it’s important to mention another report, submitted just a few days earlier — on July 26th — in the same state where the alleged UFO audio was recorded: Idaho, in the United States. This earlier report is also noteworthy because the location of the sighting is just 128 kilometers (about 80 miles) away from the main case and shares several similar characteristics, including a photographic record.
On July 26th, around 4 a.m., a witness in Albion, Idaho, reported an interesting sighting to the NUFORC database. The case was cataloged as UFO Sighting 191279.
According to the report, three people observed an extremely bright light in the eastern sky, described as “ten times bigger than any visible star.” The intense white light underwent intriguing transformations: first, it split into six lights that formed a perfect circle. Then, these lights rearranged into a square formation and later into a triangle. The phenomenon lasted for at least 30 minutes.
“I stepped out onto the porch early in the morning. It was still completely dark. I saw a big bright light in the east that transformed into six lights forming a perfect circle, then a square, and finally a triangle. It lasted for at least 30 minutes. Eventually, I went back to sleep, so I don’t know how long it remained there,” the witness described.
The light was said to have a faint halo around it, and its apparent size was slightly smaller than a full moon. No sound was reported in this case, but the rapid shape changes — occurring in about one second — were considered unusual.
This observation may be related to the event reported a few days later, which included a sound recording associated with the presence of luminous objects in the sky. The geographic and temporal proximity between the two incidents may suggest a possible connection.

So, there is a larger UAP surrounded by other UAPs that performed some formations around the main one.
Now, take a look at NUFORC UFO Sighting 191358, reported on July 30, which includes a possible audio recording of sounds emitted by the UFOs. When comparing the two reports, there is a remarkable similarity in the phenomena described.
The sighting occurred in Pocatello, Idaho, at around 4:02 AM (curiously, almost at the same time as the other), lasting approximately 10 seconds, and was witnessed by one person (who appears to be a woman, judging by the voice in the audio).
The description details a main object with LED-like lights, dimmer in color, which the witness estimated to be at least a few miles long, accompanied by other smaller objects that seemed to follow it. The main object flew at an unusual angle, descending toward the mountains and disappearing over the horizon, while loud booming sounds were heard during the event.
The witness reported having seen a similar phenomenon in late June, with much brighter and more visible lights, also accompanied by multiple smaller objects. According to her:
“Although, the lights were soo much brighter. Like big bright LED lights. You could tell the lights definitely bordered some type of craft. I couldn’t see the body exactly, but I could see slim dark shadows that didn’t go very high up from the top and bottom of the lights.”
The hypothesis raised is that the object dimmed its lights to hide better this time. Furthermore, the witness ruled out the possibility of it being Starlink satellites or any other known artifact.
When comparing this case with NUFORC report 191279, both describe the presence of a larger UAP, in large proportions, surrounded by other UAPs that performed different formations around the main one, along with intense lights and complex behaviors that suggest coordinated interaction between the objects.
This similarity reinforces the hypothesis that these events, occurring within a few days of each other and in the same geographic region (Idaho), may be related.
What differentiates the two reports is that one recorded an image, while the other captured audio.
In a nine-second clip, we can hear the witness’s astonishment at what she was witnessing, and in the background, alongside cricket sounds, we also hear an enigmatic, very atypical sound that appears to be emitted by the phenomenon. We cannot confirm whether this is a genuine recording, but the similarities between the reports add some credibility.
