The United States government, through its Department of War, released today (06/12) the third batch of files related to the UFO/UAP phenomenon.
Largely focused on documentation linked to the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), the third release contains only a few rather simplistic videos, PDF files, and a significantly larger number of illustrations than the previous batches.
The first batch was released by the Department of War on 05/08 and, although it was not particularly revealing, being the first disclosure, it created expectations that the following releases would become progressively more promising.
And that is exactly what happened with the second batch, released on 05/22. This release included approximately 140 pages of documentation and more than 50 videos, consequently generating considerable discussion, debate, and speculation within the UFO community.
The third batch, however, released today, proved to be extremely disappointing in light of the expectations created both by the UFO community and by the general public.

Among the most interesting records that could indicate the reality of the phenomenon, there are only three videos, all showing “points of light” (orbs). Perhaps the most interesting is the one showing the phenomenon over a lake.
The recording was made in October 2024, at around 6:51 p.m. (local time), in the northeastern United States, when a witness observed a source of light below the horizon that appeared to hover over the surface of the lake.

This other video also shows orbs, in this case two reddish ones.
The recording was made in July 2025, at around 9:00 p.m. (local time), in the northeastern United States, when an eyewitness observed an intense, bright light in their backyard after parking the car upon returning from work. The light was hovering approximately 7.5 meters above the ground, below a row of trees near the center of the yard, at an estimated distance of 27 meters. The witness briefly exited the vehicle before grabbing a cellphone to record the event.
The spouse of the witness also came outside to assess the situation. The spouse likewise saw the light, describing it as a “bright red sphere” about one meter in diameter. The center of the red sphere appeared to be a white plasma-like “sun” roughly the size of a basketball. The orb slowly rose and moved to the left, and both witnesses observed a second identical orb hovering above the first.

As for the third case in question, it also shows only red orbs.
In March 2022, at around 7:20 p.m. (local time), in the northeastern United States, an eyewitness observed two bright red light sources hovering near the horizon at an estimated distance of 762 meters (2,500 feet). Both luminous objects remained virtually motionless throughout the encounter.
The lower light source appeared to slowly rotate relative to the upper light source, moving from an apparent 6 o’clock position to slightly beyond an apparent 9 o’clock position. The witness reported no sound coming from the light sources. The video was recorded using an iPhone 12 Pro at a familiar, sparsely populated location.

The third batch of files released by the United States today largely maintains the same pattern observed in previous disclosures, focusing on simple, fragmented, and largely inconclusive visual records.
Most of the visual material consists of “orb” videos and illustrations derived from reports and documents that do not present concrete or verifiable evidence of the UAP phenomenon.
Even after the expectations generated by the first two waves, especially the second, which brought a larger volume of pages and videos and sparked more intense debate, this new set does not represent a significant advancement in terms of evidence.
What can be observed is a continued lack of interest in actually showing what the phenomenon is. We are aware of surprising technological objects that would leave the world in shock.
Thus, despite the increase in the total volume of material released across the three waves, the content remains limited when the goal is to provide solid evidence about the nature of the ufological phenomenon.
In the end, the third batch reinforces more a sense of repetition than discovery, leaving open the same fundamental questions that have accompanied the topic for decades.
