Television producers, content creators, documentary editors, and streaming executives from around the world are being alerted to a unique acquisition opportunity. On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the online auction platform Direct Auctions will hold the sale of a massive collection of historical items related to ufology. The valuable material belongs to Chris Wyatt, an Emmy-winning producer known for landmark specials such as UFOs Above & Beyond, Close Encounters: Proof of Alien Contact, UFOs: The Real X-Files, UFOs: Top Secret, and others.
With the steadily growing global interest in the UFO/UAP topic — as demonstrated by the recent worldwide success of the documentary The Age of Disclosure — this liquidation event offers television production companies, as well as any enthusiast, a unique chance to secure a collection of production-ready commercial assets and worldwide broadcast rights, eliminating the need for costly third-party clearances.
Compiled during the “Golden Age” of UFO investigation (1992–2004), this archive provides a foundational library of images, videos, and files for producers.

The winning bidder will acquire:
• Broadcast-Ready Master Tapes (39 hours): Pristine and unreleased interview footage featuring some of the most important figures in ufology — essential material for high-quality UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) documentaries.
• Unproduced Intellectual Property – “The Bob Lazar Story”: An exclusive, never-before-produced feature-length screenplay detailing the life of Bob Lazar, the Area 51 whistleblower — a valuable asset for any film or television production company.
• The Wendelle Stevens Photographic Archive: A rare collection of more than 150 original photographs from Lieutenant Colonel Wendelle Stevens’ private files. The majority of these images have never been publicly released, offering exclusive visual evidence for new productions.
• Declassified Documents, Hundreds of Books, and Magazines for Supporting Imagery: A vast physical vault containing more than 500 declassified government files (related to Majestic 12, the CIA, and Project Aquarius), along with hundreds of vintage periodicals such as Fate magazine and UFO Report — perfect for historical context and supporting visual sequences.
• Worldwide Broadcast Rights: The lot grants full worldwide licensing rights for the video content, providing enough primary material for a multi-episode miniseries or several television documentaries for global distribution.
One of the rarest and potentially most valuable pieces in the collection is the so-called “Irrefutable Proof”: the 1947 Roswell Yearbook, an annual from the Roswell Army Air Field in New Mexico.
Chris Wyatt states that copies of the yearbook were confiscated at the time.
“The military ordered all 1947 yearbooks to be turned in and destroyed,” he said. “The reason was that they knew the press would come from all over the world, and they would certainly want to have the yearbooks in order to interview every military officer who was present.”

The archive contains long, intimate sessions that were never broadcast — ideal for original streaming productions seeking unseen material, as well as for enthusiasts and collectors. Some of the items feature key figures such as:
• Bob Lazar: Rare and extensive sessions with the man who exposed Area 51, the S-4 facility, and Element 115.
• Gordon Cooper: The original Mercury Seven astronaut discusses his own UFO sightings and extraterrestrial encounters.
• Stanton Friedman: The nuclear physicist regarded as the “Father of Roswell” and of crashed-craft investigations.
• Linda Moulton Howe: The Emmy-winning journalist famous for her work on the paranormal and animal mutilations.
• Dr. David Jacobs and Budd Hopkins: The leading authorities on alien abductions and missing-time phenomena.
It also includes additional interviews with researchers and ufologists such as:
Michael Lindemann, Paul Davids, Jim Dilettoso, Stephen Bassett (Disclosure), Clyde Lewis, Dr. Roger Leir (Implants), James Gilliland (ECETI), A.J. Gevaerd, John Greenewald Jr., Peter Gersten, Jordan Maxwell, Anna Hayes, Jaime Maussan, Wendelle Stevens, and Richard Hoagland.
Perhaps the most interesting part for enthusiasts and archivists is the collection’s photographic archive. In addition to rare images, it also includes never-before-seen photographs — never released to the public — from the late Colonel Wendelle Stevens, a highly respected and renowned figure in the UFO community.
Born in 1923, Stevens was a decorated World War II veteran and a retired U.S. Air Force pilot. His military career led him to serve in various roles, including pilot, communications officer, and intelligence officer.
After retiring from military service, Stevens devoted his life to UFO research, assembling a vast collection of more than 4,000 photographs of objects and investigating hundreds of sightings. He authored numerous books, including the well-known UFO Contact series, and was regarded as one of the leading experts on UFO phenomena until his death in 2010.

Chris Wyatt, who served as the lead producer of UFO programs in Hollywood throughout the 1990s and 2000s, describes the archive as an essential resource for serious storytellers.
“This is perhaps the largest archive of UFO television programming ever to go to auction; it’s the raw DNA of the UFO phenomenon,” Wyatt says. “For a production company, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You’re acquiring the unfiltered truth from the people who lived it — many of whom have since passed away — in original broadcast-quality recordings. It’s time to pass this torch on to the next generation of paranormal TV producers.”
