The quiet rural life of Tintina, Argentina, has been shaken by a series of mysterious events that have revived old legends and spread fear among the locals. The possible appearance of the legendary Chupacabras has become the main topic of discussion after a rancher reported the bizarre mutilation of part of his herd.
The owner of the Dos Leones ranch, Eduardo “Torán” Maidana, reported the unexplained deaths of 13 calves. The mutilations, he said, are so unusual that they have raised suspicions of the mythical predator’s involvement.
In testimony to local media, Maidana described a pattern of attacks that continues to baffle the community. According to the rancher, the first incidents began more than two and a half months ago. At first, wild dogs were suspected. However, even after a neighbor’s dogs were tied up, the deaths continued.
The victims are found with peculiar injuries: puncture wounds in the frontal part of the head and the nose completely destroyed, as if it had been devoured. In addition, the bodies show signs of exsanguination, with no blood and missing vital organs — especially the heart — leaving the carcasses dry, odorless, and unappealing even to vultures and dogs.
The mystery deepened when a ranch worker, while attempting to keep watch over the pastures, claimed to have seen the creature. According to his account, it was “larger than a dog” and had “a completely different head.” Unarmed, the man was forced to flee, but when he returned, he found a calf dead, its body covered in a layer of sludge.
Although Maidana admits he has never seen the creature himself, he insists the facts speak for themselves:
“What caught our attention is that the animal is completely clean inside, as if it had sucked the entire head through the nostrils,” he explained.
In an effort to clarify the phenomenon, some of the dead animals were cut open at the ranch, but nothing unusual was found inside. For the rancher, there is no doubt: a creature capable of draining blood and vital organs without leaving clear traces is behind the devastation of his herd.
The mysterious attacks in Tintina echo a long history of alleged Chupacabras encounters across Latin America. Since the 1990s, reports of livestock found drained of blood and mutilated in strange ways have surfaced in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, and Argentina, often linked to the same elusive creature.
Skeptics attribute these cases to wild animals or natural causes, yet the recurring details — exsanguinated bodies, precise wounds, and the absence of scavenger activity — continue to fuel speculation. What makes the phenomenon even more intriguing is that many sightings of the Chupacabras have been reported alongside UFO activity, suggesting to some researchers a possible extraterrestrial connection.
For now, the residents of Tintina remain on edge, facing an unexplained predator that has once again blurred the line between folklore, cryptozoology, and the mysteries of the skies.
