We are all familiar with the events at the famous Skinwalker Ranch. However, few know that in the state of Arizona there is a ranch where even more disturbing and enigmatic activities may have occurred. This is the little-known Stardust Ranch, where a couple claims to have experienced these events and presents evidence of disturbing and traumatic incidents.
Few recent reports have drawn as much attention as those allegedly experienced by John Edmonds and his wife, Joyce. Stardust Ranch, nicknamed the “alien ranch” and located in Rainbow Valley, on the outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona, has been described as the site of strange encounters and bizarre activities involving aliens—specifically, the Grays.
Much of the activity reported at Stardust Ranch closely resembles what has been documented at the more famous Skinwalker Ranch in Utah. Reports include unexplained noises, strange lights, bizarre objects, and even unusual creatures attempting to enter the property. The location of Stardust Ranch, like that of Skinwalker Ranch, may be a key factor in understanding the true nature of these events. Arizona not only has a long history of UFO encounters but is also rich in mysterious and fascinating legends that stretch back for centuries.

John and Joyce Edmonds moved to the sprawling 10-acre property in 2009, expecting to find their dream home. However, they quickly became immersed in a series of strange and disturbing events. At first, they noticed unusual noises at night, which they initially attributed to the surrounding desert. Soon after, they began seeing mysterious, moving lights in the sky. When unsettling figures started appearing around the edges of their property, it became clear that something completely out of the ordinary was taking place.
They began noticing strange changes around their property: garden furniture moved—and on one occasion, even thrown into the pool. One night, while outside, they saw movement a short distance away, still within their property boundaries. Upon closer inspection, they realized it was a completely strange figure. Its disproportionately large head, enormous black eyes, and thin body made it clear that it was not human. The creature quickly vanished into the shadows, but this would be only the first of several sightings of these unusual entities. And the events were about to escalate even further.
Soon after, the Edmonds began finding their horses dead, all bearing the same precise injuries typical of cattle mutilation cases. Even some of their dogs suffered similarly brutal ends. By this point, it was clear to the couple that something truly monstrous was occurring around their property.
Although the events initially seemed confined to the outskirts of their property, the couple soon began hearing strange noises and noticing movement outside their home. One night, while sitting inside, one of the creatures appeared briefly at the window, as if watching them.
It wasn’t until they began discovering unusual bruises and what appeared to be needle-like marks on their bodies that they suspected these seemingly alien entities might be entering their home while they slept.
On one occasion, John Edmonds witnessed something terrifying. Upon waking, he saw his wife levitating from the bed, moving toward the front door and out into the yard, where a craft hovered in the air. The last thing John remembered was seeing her apparently being lifted into the vehicle. The next morning, she had the same bruises and strange marks they had noticed upon arriving at the ranch. From that moment, John had no doubt: his wife—and possibly he himself—was being subjected to repeated alien abductions.

The more encounters John had with these curious creatures, the more details he was able to record about them. One of the most intriguing aspects, according to him, is his belief that these entities are not from our world but come from another dimension—John Edmonds believes they are interdimensional beings.
He observed that their appearances were often accompanied by a “high-frequency humming” sound, which he explained was likely “a byproduct of their partial interdimensional travel, in phase or out of phase.” He went on to say that the creatures only materialized physically up to the point of crossing the dimensional threshold, usually when there was potential danger. The humming, he added, occurs on a quantum level, as they are partially present in both dimensions at the same time.
Conversely, when no perceived danger existed, these entities “perfectly transcended from one dimension to another.” According to John, these were the ideal moments for physically seizing someone, as the creatures would immediately attempt to return to their own dimension whenever they sensed any type of threat.

Over the following weeks and months, these apparent abduction encounters were marked by the sudden appearance of bruises and scratches, while the presence of the entities around the property persisted. John came to the conclusion that he needed to personally defend both his wife and the ranch.
When the creatures appeared again, he grabbed the samurai sword he kept above the fireplace and struck one of them. After driving the blade into the creature’s side, he attempted to decapitate it, but to his astonishment, the body vanished before his eyes.
John theorized that, since the entity was still faintly alive when he removed the sword, it had been able to use its mind to return to its own dimension. He also suggested that “the creature’s head controls its ability to transfer between dimensions” and that removing it could result in the body remaining in our dimension after death. According to him, this would not only provide concrete evidence of the existence of such entities but would also be, rightly or wrongly, invaluable for study.

Although the creature’s body had vanished, John claimed to have collected blood and tissue samples on the sword, which he supposedly had analyzed. According to him, the analysis revealed that the samples were unknown to science and certainly did not belong to humans or any known animal. However, something skeptics have highlighted as suspicious is that the person John claimed performed the analysis—a man named “WC Levengood”—disappeared shortly afterward, taking the samples with him.
In total, John claimed to have killed nearly 20 of these entities during his time at the ranch, even stating that he had been injured in some of the encounters. The attacks became so frequent that he began posting about them on social media, sharing photos of his alleged injuries and even of one of the creatures. It was during this period that John also claimed to have been visited by figures he could only describe as the Men in Black.
After going public with their experiences, the Edmonds quickly became the focus of newspaper articles and television programs. For many, this raised suspicions and cast doubt on the credibility of their accounts. While some speculated that the couple might be fabricating the stories for attention or could have mental health issues, others proposed far darker theories.
On the podcast Unbelievable, hosts Brian Frange and Phoebe Tyers discussed the claims surrounding Stardust Ranch, noting that Joyce’s reports of alien interactions frequently involved sexual assault. At one point, Frange asks whether it might be possible that “John Edmonds was abusing his wife while she slept and then blaming the aliens,” adding that “it could even be that he invented an alien story to cover up the fact that he was assaulting his wife.”

“There is a distinct possibility that he genuinely believes aliens are abducting his wife and causing the bruises because, subconsciously, he needs to see himself as a good person,” Frange stated, adding that he did not believe Edmonds was lying, but that he was “telling the truth as he perceives it, although the real truth may be something else.”
It is worth noting that John Edmonds has firmly rejected any suggestion that he was responsible for his wife’s injuries or that he unconsciously invented the story to cover up alleged actions.
In recent years, the couple put the ranch up for sale. Some have accused them of using their media appearances to inflate the property’s value. Indeed, it could be argued that this is not the behavior of someone desperate to leave the location; on the contrary, it suggests a carefully considered strategy.

The veracity of these claims is, of course, highly debatable. Considering that the ranch’s current asking price is around $5 million, up from the initial $1.7 million, it is easy to see why some might be suspicious of the couple’s motives. One could imagine that, rather than staying on a property where these encounters reportedly occurred regularly for nearly a decade—sometimes weekly or even daily, according to John Edmonds—the Edmonds may have wanted to leave the ranch much earlier.
It is worth noting that Edmonds never changed his story or version of events until his death on February 27, 2022. Before passing, he stated that he believed in the existence of a portal on the ranch, allowing these Grey alien entities to enter our world. Some have theorized that a crashed UFO—possibly from hundreds of years ago—might be buried somewhere beneath the ranch, potentially serving as the origin of the portal. Edmonds also claimed that the entire area of the ranch “holds many secrets and what I believe are future opportunities to understand the forces that exist in the universe.”
There is certainly much to examine in Edmonds’ claims. If, as he maintained, Stardust Ranch is as active as the famous Skinwalker Ranch in Utah, then a serious study of the site could expand our understanding of the paranormal and our collective reality. Indeed, investigating the ranch could reveal connections or patterns that help researchers better comprehend the supernatural and often disturbing occurrences at both locations.

Edmonds’ claims are far from free of controversy, even within ufology circles. Perhaps the most controversial—and the one that most challenges his credibility—is the assertion that these strange entities disappear after being killed or, at the very least, injured. It is easy to see why such statements fuel skepticism, regardless of whether they are true or not. However, this idea is not entirely unprecedented: many close encounter reports indicate that these alien beings can be in one place one minute and simply vanish the next.
Another highly suspicious aspect involves the alleged blood and tissue samples, which were reportedly lost—or possibly stolen—after Levengood mysteriously disappeared. When considered alongside the claims of the entities themselves vanishing, this situation raises even more questions about the veracity of Edmonds’ statements.
Whatever the case, the Stardust Ranch incident is undoubtedly bizarre and disturbing. The events reported by the couple are undeniably astonishing and make us wonder what other mysteries might exist and be unfolding right now somewhere else in the world.
